Testimonials

"Puno's Instagram class is for all types of people and businesses who are wanting to get insight into the world of Instagram. I was worried at first that I wouldn't learn much, since I had already built a pretty large following on our company's Instagram.

I learned a lot! More specifically, how marketing on Instagram equates to sales. Within a couple hours of her class, I tested it out. The post ended up quadrupling our daily sales! I also learned how I can better track Instagram's influence on sales and growth tips that will be very important for our future success. Thanks Puno."

"Puno’s Instagram class was very insightful! We have some smaller accounts we are working to get off the ground and each section of the class provided clarity on how to make the best use of our time moving forward. Not only did she validate some of the things we’re currently doing, but she also shared new tactics, apps and tools to take our content to the next level. I definitely recommend this class for beginners and regular users of Instagram." - Shelby Jacobs of @toms

"Puno is basically fantastic on every level. Smart, savvy, able to teach in an incredibly entertaining and engaging way... She knows what she's talking about with Instagram and you'll leave her class feeling empowered and ready to kick the internet's ass." - @AlexandraPiotrowski, Digital Media Strategist and Founder of Story Group

General Assembly: Instagram Marketing Workshop (Seattle)

  • General Assembly: Seattle

About This Workshop

With over 300 million monthly active users on Instagram, your business has the potential to reach, engage, and build a massive community on Instagram. But where do you start?

Not everyone on Instagram is right for your brand. Not everyone will convert into a customer, client, or collaborator. In this course, you'll learn how to make the most of your time by finding your ideal followers and keeping them engaged.

Why this course is different.

This course is a step-by-step case study of exactly how Puno grew her instagram account from 13 to 80,000 followers in one year. She didn't buy followers, didn't pay for likes, and wasn't lucky enough to be featured by Instagram. She's completely transparent about everything she did so you can takeaway an actionable strategy.

Here's what past students are saying about this workshop:

"I was worried at first that I wouldn't learn much, since I had already built a pretty large following on our company's Instagram. I learned a lot! I also learned how I can better track Instagram's influence on sales and growth tips that will be very important for our future success. Thanks Puno." - @mallyce

"I immediately started to implement all of Puno's strategies and in just 3 months went from 250 to 2237 followers and growing. More importantly, I actually saw a rise in the number of readers, lower bounce rate, and now I get pitched by brands, creatives and writers for collaborations on a weekly basis. I never wrote a testimonial in my life, but this one comes from the heart. Puno's workshop is totally worth it, and more." - Francesca Mey of@FrejaDaily

"I had the pleasure of taking Puno's Instagram class recently.  I started putting into action the lessons that she taught and within 6 weeks I have 2,400 followers from 25.  Within the past week I am starting to get business inquiries.  The whole thing is very exciting.  She lays out the methods in class.  There is a lot to go through in the workshop, and she made the 6 hours feel like 20 minutes.  I would recommend anyone that is looking to throw their hat into the Instagram arena to work with Puno on some level.  It will be time well spent." - @thisismysouthbay

--

"LOVE GA and Puno! This was my second GA class and it by far exceeded my expectations. Although, I think that should be heavily credited to Puno, herself. Not only does she have (what seems to be endless) knowledge and experience but the energy she brings about Instagram and life is inspiring.  With learning more about how to grow your company with IG, she was able to point out and answer completely different and important questions about my actual business without even knowing it.  I don't know how long it would of taken me to get those "answers" but I'm glad I don't have to wait to find out!

Eight hours of anything seems a little much but it actually was a really greatSunday well spent. I left with a information on how to grow on Instagram, motivation and a bunch of ideas!  I have GA and Puno to thank for that! I will be back, definitely!" - Taryn Mitsunaga @eventsbytaryn

Alex Michael May Creative Director

An OG crafter (think googly eyes, popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners) and writer, Creative Director Alex Michael May moved to Los Angeles in 2008 to pursue copy writing for advertising and improv comedy. Through a series of random events, she found herself prop styling for brands such as Dell, Disney and Sony as well as creating digital content for popular lifestyle blogs and magazines, and designing events.

The culmination of all these seemingly unrelated gigs led to the creation of Beautilitarian,(insta: @beautilitarian) Alex's alter-ego and a collective for creating original digital content that fosters organic interest in brands and value for those who consume it.

She believes every brand has a story, and if it's told in the right, authentic way, people will not only want to hear it, but they will fall in love in the process.

Currently the Creative Director at Coordinates Collection (and it's newest acquisition, Le Bloc Jewelry) Alex is working on a brand revamp, and getting to the root of what makes people relate to brands and how to tap into that cult fan mentality.

When she's not at work or freelancing, Alex is the Experience Director for the Yellow Conference -- a community of women who wish to use their skills and passions to spread goodness in their community and world. Yellow is for the earth-shakers and the ground-movers, and holds and annual conference and mostly gatherings in the Los Angeles area.

Eyeballs ⊙⊙ Party! at Unique Space (Free)

  • Unique Space

About the Party

Come dance your face off at the Unique Space on April 3rd at 7PM. We're going to go NUTS on eyeball art installations, yummy drinks, and a ton of dancing.

And if you don't have 20/20, be sure to fill in your prescription for VIP access. You could be the next Brand Ambassador and get free Visian ICL!

What?! Why Eyeballs?

It started with a random conversation about the zombie apocalypse between Puno and Erin...

I met Erin, of Visian ICL, who also happens to be an amazing videographer at Hunter&Fox), and the subject of zombies came about.

Before and After... the husband is HOT!

I've always wanted Lasik, but my eye doctor didn't recommend it since my vision was bad (6.5) and I could have dry eyes after. I assumed that I would have to wear contacts forever and be completely screwed when the Zombie Apocalypse came.

Erin told me all about Visian ICL. I had no idea that there was an alternative out there. A few months later, I was an Official Brand Ambassador for Visian ICL and got my entire surgery paid for.

The surgery lasted about 20 minutes and I'm seeing 20/20 now! No dry eyes, no night glare, it's perfect. Wooooo!!!

If you have bad vision, be sure to sign up for a consultation to see if you are a good candidate:

What is the Visian ICL?

The Visian ICL, also known as the implantable collamer lense, is a procedure to help correct nearsightedness. The lens has been available internationally for over 15 years.

Good Candidates for the Visian ICL

If you are between the ages of 21 and 45, nearsighted, and have had vision for a year, you are an excellent candidate for the Visian ICL. The Visian ICL is made to help correct patients with low myopia (-3 diopters) to high myopia (-20 diopters). Not only is the Visian ICL good for candidates with high myopia, but it may be the perfect option for people who are suffering with severe dry eyes or have thin corneas. The Visian ICL is a simple 15-minute outpatient procedure that has a fast recovery time. One main difference that separates Visian ICL from LASIK and PRK is that the Visian ICL does not use a laser to reshape the corneal surface of your eyes. Click here to other qualities of a good candidate

Visian ICL Recovery

The recovery time for the Visian ICL is very quick and comfortable, and may be as little as a day, due to the very small size of the incision required. The incision needed to implant the foldable Visian ICL is tiny and located on the far edge of the cornea, where there is little danger of it interfering with vision. Once the lens is implanted, sutures are typically not needed to close the incision, further simplifying the procedure.

Visian ICL side effects

Patients undergoing corneal refractive procedures, such as LASIK and PRK, may be susceptible to side effects associated with corneal surgery including dry eye and thinning of the cornea. The LASIK procedure involves removal of tissue from the cornea, which means some of its complications may be more difficult to correct than the possible complications of the Visian ICL. All surgical procedures carry some risk; however, the side effects or complications related to the Visian ICL, in most cases, can be corrected by your own surgeon. They include infection, increased intraocular pressure, and possibility of accidental damage to the crystalline lens during the procedure.

To find out if you are a good candidate for the Visian ICL, contact a qualified Visian ICL surgeon near you who is qualified to perform the Visian ICL procedure.
