Q What do you do?

As a marketing strategist and designer, I help you tell your story and express your vision to resonate with customers through thoughtful marketing and design.

I work on everything from foundational brand identity to tactical channels like email, social media, paid ads. I have a business degree and worked in consulting and e-commerce strategy for five years, so I bring business acumen and analytical thinking to all my brand strategy work.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I have a Marketing degree from Wharton and honed my craft by consulting major brands like PepsiCo, Paramount Pictures, and UNICEF, but I love bringing that experience to emerging and DTC brands. My favorite part about being a freelance designer is meeting founders who are looking for a collaborative growth partner to handle their creative.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

I don’t just ask ‘What will look good?”, I ask ‘Why does this work?” Every design choice is intentional and draws upon both emotional and logical inspiration.

Q What are you working on right now?

Every year leading up to my birthday, I do a poster sale where all the proceeds go to a charity, so I'm figuring out what to put out and which organization to support this year.

Q What’s your style?

My style is clean and bold, but most of all, informed by a client's objective. For instance, my work with Covey Skin is inspired by the mission to introduce a simple routine with clean ingredients. In the email marketing, we focus on clean imagery and clear customer education.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I would love to spend more time learning animation and motion graphics. Adding movement to an art piece really makes it come alive for me.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Help me manage my personal brand and promote my work. I know it’s essential to grow a freelance business, but I have a hard time allocating time to it and finding joy in self-promotion.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

Just keep creating. Five years ago, I was getting caught up in what everyone else was telling me to do with my life (get good grades, go into a stable career, do what your peers are doing), and it was hard for me to remember who I really am. I’ve always wanted to be a creative slashie, whether it’s photography, graphic design, interiors, fashion. I wanted to do it all, and I only recently realized that I can.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

As someone who has never worked on the agency side, I would love to learn more about how to build and run an agency, and how large agencies operate in terms of agreements, client relationships, and pitches.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I'm very open, but would love to work with an emerging fashion brand/solopreneur on the launch, with a focus on social media and marketing. A branding project for a restaurant/food or beauty brand would also be fun since there are so many assets to work with, like menus, type, and packaging.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

The client has a strong foundational understanding of what they want to build and how it should feel to the customer but also trusts my judgment of how to make that come alive. When doing revisions, it’s important for me to align why we want certain changes or in what direction we should go, so open communication is key. I will always provide a clear list of deliverables and timelines, just as I expect a client to provide clear working style expectations and requests.

Q: What is your rate?

It depends on the project scope, but my rate is typically $50-80/hr.

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

Feel free to fill out the form on my site for a free discovery session, or shoot me an email.

Q Who is a creative you admire?

Sophi Miyoko Gullbrants makes beautiful illustrations. I really admire her use of textures and colors.
Anna Fusco makes some of my favorite prints that really make me stop and feel all the feels.
Shannon Maldonado, the founder of YOWIE, is one of my favorite curators of books, media, and home goods. I really enjoy watching her experiences as a POC entrepreneur.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Surround myself with bright, good people.
