I took another Shopify course that was more about getting clients and how to position yourself and stuff like that. But I didn't get the feeling like I was able to tweak it and create stuff that was different and custom, like I'm used to on Squarespace. And when I took this course, it was like giving me the permission to play.
I don't know why I had it more complicated in my mind. I thought Shopify was more of a complicated platform where you need to work on it for years and years and you're like tied to it forever. And with Megumi, it was like, okay, I can create this and this will be flexible. And it will actually allow the person to keep working on it without me. And that was amazing. I can adapt this to me. I can’t explain it, but it feels like a super power.
Usually when people explain code to others, you can see and feel the smoke coming out of their heads! But Megumi broke it down and explained concepts in such an easy to understand way, especially Liquid. I've taken Shopify courses in the past, but this course made me feel confident to take on Shopify projects for the first time!
