Q What do you do?

I am a freelance social media and marketing manager.

Since graduating from my Bachelor of Journalism degree, I have worked with clients in the fashion, beauty, finance and lifestyle industry assisting with content creation, social media management, copywriting and marketing.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

Working in a major digital and online company in Australia for a year, interning at various fashion companies, and making the bold move to start my own business.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

I have a real talent for adapting to my client's business and branding. Ever since I was young, I have always been a creative thinker and love coming up with huge ideas which is why I started my own business as I didn't want to be restricted to just one role in any business. I also just graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree and am hoping to pursue my freelance business full time and utilize all my legal skills (i.e setting up contracts, copyright, and privacy laws, breach of data, etc) to my business and clients.

Q What are you working on right now?

I'm working with a nutritional trainer in re-branding her website and social media accounts, including website copy, social media content, and a complete social media improvement strategy.

Q What’s your style?

My style and perspective are clean, creative, simple, and effective. You can refer to a few of my projects here.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

At the moment it would be more training in social media advertising.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

Learning more about social media advertising, paid campaigns, etc.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Assist me with graphic design as I am currently using Canva Pro. I would also love to have someone to discuss creative ideas and have a second opinion.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

Follow your passion always and ignore the negative things that people tell you, no matter how high up the corporate ladder they are. I would also tell myself that I'm never too old to stop learning.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

Definitely social media advertising.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

Social media management, copywriting, and content creation.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

My ideal client is someone who knows what they want to achieve out of their business and their purpose so discussing creative direction would be an easy task as we both know the brand's objectives.

Q: What is your rate?

I offer monthly social media management packages that start at $500 per month that include social media content, scheduling, reviewing analytics, and monthly detailed strategy report. However, this depends on the complexity of the client, the number of posts they want every week, and any additional add-ons/deductions

I also offer copywriting services starting at $75 per 350 words including SEO research.

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

A simple email through my contact form including their name, link to the website, and what they want to achieve.

Q Who is a creative you admire?

I love girl bosses who own multiple businesses as it shows me that no matter where or how they started, you can be successful if you have the desire and passion. A few of these include Australian television producer and journalist Lisa Wilkinson, Lauren Conrad, Kate Hudson (who owns an athleisure and skincare brand), Sophia Amoruso (for obvious reasons), and Bethenny Frankel.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Fitness! Coming out of lockdown has taught me the invaluable habit of staying active, and spending as much time the outdoors to care for my physical and mental health and wellbeing. Lockdown has definitely shown me that I have taken my health for granted and I have picked up pilates, boxing and running. It's a great way to recharge your creative energy, take a break, and recharge.
