What do you do?

I am a stage manager at Siren Studios in Hollywood, but most importantly I am a photographer. I am a lifestyle photographer, I love to collaborate with different people, magazines, or brands to provide them with visual content, whether it be for social media or their website.

What steps did you take to get where you are now?

I did attend art school and earned a Bachelors of Science in Digital Photography and I happened to get lucky with amazing mentors along my schooling to help me go into the right direction. Also there was a lot of trial and error but I stayed focus by setting mini goals for myself.

For other people in your field, what do they usually lack?

People usually lack confidence, being such a competitive industry things can get very intimidating. I did suffer from this but I then realized that not putting myself out there, nothing was going to happen. I try to live by the saying, "don't talk about it, be about it."

What are you working on right now?

Right now I am wanting to expand my brand by starting up an online boutique of girly novelty items.

We are all Slashies with multiple skills, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I need to focus on my brand because being a studio manager, does consume most of my time, time I could be booking more shoots and be more available for shoots.

What is frustrating you right now?

Juggling, I have a husband, two fur-kids, a full time job, and a business I am trying to get going with my photography and online boutique. I want to try to find time for everything and find funding for my online boutique.

What task keeps landing at the bottom of the To Do list?

Doing more personal shoots. I have all these ideas for shoots but I have yet to complete.

If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

I would have told myself four years ago to save and invest the large amount of money I had inherited because I would later need it to start an awesome business, instead of blowing it quickly.

Let's bring out the time machine. What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

I need insight on how to become an awesome girl boss like Jen Gotch from Ban.do

If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I would love to work with more fashion designers and magazines. I love editorial work.

What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I would love to work with more fashion designers and magazines. I love editorial work.

What is your ideal client?

I would LOVE to shoot a huge magazine spread for Lana Del Rey.

Do you allow yourself to say No?

Yes because I know what I am worth and I cannot let people take advantage of me. My deal breakers are when they want a whole lot more than what they have budgeted. I will not shoot for people that will use my images in a negative way.

What is your rate?

I try to custom out pricing for every client and weigh in their budget.

How should someone approach you about working together?

I would love them to include how they found me, their vision (pinterest board,LoL), and budget.
