Q What do you do?

Multidisciplinary Designer with 3+ years of experience partnering directly with clients to ideate and deliver integrated creative assets.

Passionate about every layer of design, backed with a proven track record of creating assets that live across branding, print, packaging, merchandise and apparel, digital, social media, and presentations. Adaptable, conceptual, and curious by nature; consistently challenging self-taught design abilities by leaning on research, trends, and insights, in addition to experimenting with new design techniques.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

Even though I am a self-taught designer especially for the knowledge I know now. I have my associate's in arts in 2015 and spent a year at Ringling College of Art and Design. Unfortunately due to financial and a family member's health issues I had to leave. Nevertheless, I still kept designing and improving my skills. I have been working full-time as a freelance designer since 2020 and part-time since 2015.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

My designs while versatile, also make a statement. I don't visualize the world like everyone else and I feel that my nontraditional approach, background, and point of view help me to better understand my clients. As well as give them what they need.

Q What are you working on right now?

Right now I am working with a department store stylist to design graphics for his upcoming clothing line which will debut with T-shirts.

Q What’s your style?

My style can be bold, and impactful. I also pride myself on being able to be versatile in my designs when needed by clients. Even though I love bright color, I also love clean design.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I'd love to focus more on art direction, visual design, and UX/UI design.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

As of now, I am fully focused on my career.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

I'd make them watch and take care of my mother. Her health issues are the reason I left college. She is also one of the most supportive people in my career and I know she wants me to succeed. I take care of her, but she also in a lot of ways takes care of me.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

When I was in middle school, I wish I could've told myself, how wonderful of a person I am, and how my personality and character may feel misunderstood and demeaned now, but it won't be like that forever. Also, I'd love to tell myself that being alone doesn't make you lonely and you can't force everyone to like you. I wish I could've told myself how independent, and wonderful of a person I am and I am not have all the negative thoughts I had back then.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I would ask more about seek advice about marketing myself better.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I am looking for projects and opportunities in advertising and creative marketing design, especially within tech.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

I don't have a certain ideal collaboration/job or client in mind. Because my love is for design, and that's all I would like to do. Designing in itself in a space where I am greatly compensated and have room to grow, and receive amazing benefits.

Q: What is your rate?

To start my hourly rate would be $25 per hour.

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

I can be emailed at leandrastudios@gmail.com or contacted through the contact page on my website. An initial client meeting will take place after I have been contacted in which I'd like the client to include budget, project details, and any other relevant information.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Oddly enough, I relax and rest, watch T.V., I also design in my spare time things i visualize that I want to come out.
