What do you do?

I’m a social media manager, stylist, content creator, and watercolor painter. I like wearing different hats.

How do you stand out from other people in your field?

The fact that I can take on my client's voice. I put myself in the client's shoes. I spend a lot of time researching the brand to post things that are relevant to each client. I also stay on top of new trends.

If you have multiple jobs and/or skills, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I'd love to work with local makers / creators. You can get to know who you're working for on a more personal level. I'd also love to work with a company with cool, modern style like Need Supply Co. or Elizabeth Suzann or Everlane.

What are you working on right now?

I started painting again this year. The cosmos inspire much of the painting that I do. When I look up at the night sky, I feel humbled and in awe of all that’s out there. I spend a lot of time nerding out about space and decided to combine my need to be creative with my love of the cosmos. It’s been a wonderful outlet for me and it inspires me to keep looking up.

What have you been wanting to learn more about?

It would be really helpful to know more about data and analytics. I work with Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook on a daily basis. I’d love to have an even better idea of what works and what doesn’t work, the best times to post for each client, and what type of posts are bringing the best results.

What are you putting off right now?

Updating my web store for my paintings! I have been meaning to add more sizes and options, but I haven’t had the time.

If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Answer my e-mails!

What are all the tools (digital or physical) you use on a regular basis?

  • My iPhone
  • Photo editing apps: VSCO, Afterlight, and Snapseed
  • Google Drive
  • Google Analytics
  • Iconosquare
  • Hootsuite
  • Notebooks for To Do Lists

If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I’d love to chat with the founder of Snapchat since he’s so ahead of the game.

What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I just painted a custom 22x30 watercolor moon for Anne Sage - my biggest moon yet! I’d love to paint more custom planets.

Describe your ideal client/job/collaboration.

People who are open-minded and like to collaborate! I worked on a music video with Wade Koch. He was great to work with. He was very positive, had great direction, but was also open to my ideas too.

What are your deal breakers?

When someone doesn’t allow me to be creative, or doesn’t have values that align with mine.

What is your hourly rate, retainer, or salary range?

It depends on the client / project and the budget available. I’m open to negotiation!

How should someone approach you about working with you? - I like details and I love a great sense of humor.
