Q What do you do?

I use photogrammetry and motion capture to design 3D characters and animations that are inspired by British porcelain figures.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

My interest in 3D animation began while I was studying graphic design, after getting bored working primarily with print media I found animation way more exciting. The first 3D work I made was called ‘Jess World’ where I had loads of fun figuring all the 3D things out and it’s where my partner and I nailed the process together. Since then we have been freelancing creating music videos and social media content.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

I like the unique imperfections that happen with photogrammetry models. My animations are playful, light-hearted, and sometimes a lil weird. Different from what you get with typical VFX and 3D in sci-fi and action films.

Q What are you working on right now?

An animated music video for an indie/R&B band based in Canada.

Q What’s your style?

Kitsch, camp, and wonder

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

Directing live-action music videos.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

Emailing my work out to potential future clients.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Emailing!

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

That when I graduated from uni, don’t stress about job applications, continue making good work and that freelancing is a great option.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

Pricing your work as a freelancer

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

Collaborating on music videos and social media campaigns

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

Clear communication, trusting the process, and having fun with ideas!

Q: What is your rate?

£250-£400 per day

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

DM me or email me
I’m always open to possible collaborations, whether you have just an outline idea or come ready with a brief I'd love to hear from you. Also a rough idea of what the budget would be.

Q Who is a creative you admire?

@izzywellsart who creates beautiful fashion illustrations and how could I leave out @from.vince my wonderful studio partner.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Take a walk and refresh.
