WHAT DO YOU DO?

I’m the Co-founder and Paid Media Specialist at Lunch Money Creative.

As an entrepreneur with my wife and business partner, Brittney, we’ve always been in the driver’s seat of all of our digital marketing campaigns for our products & services, including two mobile apps, our Instagram Growth Mastery Course and our Instagram growth, management and strategy services.

WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET WHERE YOU ARE NOW?

In 2017, I had the privilege of being mentored by Jason Hornung of The Jason Hornung Agency, one of the best Facebook ads experts in the business. Jason has taught me all of his systems and has credentialed me as a paid media expert. Under his guidance, I’m now able to create ad campaigns that convert at a minimum of a 2-to-1 return with clients that have compelling offers to share to their respective markets.

FOR OTHER PEOPLE IN YOUR FIELD, WHAT DO THEY USUALLY LACK?

Discipline.

The Facebook ad platform contains an infinite amount of tools and metrics that can lead people in a million different directions. A lot of their metrics are “vanity metrics,” and can convince people that their campaigns are healthy when they are far from it. People tend to see what they want to see. By sticking to a game plan, knowing what to look for and changing course when campaigns aren’t performing, Facebook ads can reward you handsomely.

Also, regular reporting to the client is critical to keep them in the loop of campaign progress. Many Facebook ads specialists don’t report, even on a monthly basis.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?

We’re currently working with a San Francisco-based Instagram influencer who is beginning to get paid large sums of money to photograph content for big brands and up-and-coming startups around the country. We’re also putting together a complete marketing funnel for a new workspace startup, which is both challenging and exciting.

WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?

Brittney and I have realized we have a passion for working with lifestyle startups who are solving real pain points for their customers. We have a particular inclination towards those brands who are improving the lives of creative freelancers like ourselves. It’s typically easy for us to extract unique value propositions from these companies and market them, since we usually end up being among their target customers. Our workspace startup client totally fits our style.

WE ARE ALL SLASHIES WITH MULTIPLE SKILLS, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD DO MORE OFTEN?

Honestly, I wish I could get back to finishing my novel. I love writing and have made it a point to carry that skill set into every creative venture I enter into, but the second draft of my young adult fantasy fiction novel is always calling my name. It’s the first of a four-book series.

WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?

Multitasking. I don’t know if it’s just being a guy, but for some reason, I have to finish one thing before pivoting to something else. It’s good, because I get the task at hand completed with minimal error, but because our workload has been growing, I feel I need to trust my intuition a bit more to move through my work more freely.

IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HOUR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?

Campaign reporting, 100%. Someone who loves Excel, understands the objectives and key performance indicators of each campaign and proactively communicates with clients of the weekly progress of their campaigns would be wonderful to meet.

LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?

Stop being so hard on yourself.

I used to think I had to have all of the right answers for everything when I met my wife. She would always tell me to stop beating myself up, and she was always right. There’s enough pressure already present with running a business without you having to lump on your own cynicism of your performance day to day.

IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?

I’d love to be able to sit down with an investor to learn the world of startup funding. As we progress down the path of entrepreneurship, I realize how important it is to have a basic understanding of raising money and allocating it properly for long-term success.

WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

We are always open to working with brands that have an intrinsic understanding of what a serious investment in their digital marketing efforts can yield them. It just so happens that 98% of our clients have been female-led brands and that’s worked out great for us these past few years.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?

Our ideal client is a brand that has a very clear and unique value proposition and has a compelling offer for their customers, whether it be a product or service. The leaders of these brands tend to be clear communicators with clear vision for their company and are not afraid to take risks. In the past, we’ve had the most success working with brands in the retail, luxury, lifestyle, travel, fashion, bridal, music, fitness and interior design space, so anything falling in that realm would be right up our alley.

WHAT IS YOUR RATE?

Our monthly fee is $2,500, which enables you to drive traffic to up to two locations / sales funnels. We usually recommend you allot a minimum of $500 per month to your ad budget for optimal market penetration. Depending on your offering, this investment could yield you anywhere between a 2x-5x return on your monthly investment.

HOW SHOULD SOMEONE APPROACH YOU ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER?

The best way to see if this type of investment will garner the results you desire for your product or service is to fill out our Facebook Ads Questionnaire. From there, we’ll be able to determine exactly whether we can meet your expectations and monthly revenue goals.

HOW DO YOU STAY CREATIVE?

Book a trip. Go have fun.
