WHAT DO YOU DO?

My focus for business development has been outreach amongst organizations with ethical and moral issues that I’m passionate about.

I own and operate a marketing + content creation firm here in LA.  My background is primarily in fashion, beauty and sports marketing.  Right now my focus for business development has been outreach amongst organizations with ethical and moral issues that I'm passionate about.

WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET WHERE YOU ARE NOW?

My first job out of college was working on media planning for McDonald's with an agency out of Dallas.  Since then I've been a partner at a smaller agency in Hollywood and now own my own company.

FOR OTHER PEOPLE IN YOUR FIELD, WHAT DO THEY USUALLY LACK?

The ability to listen.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?

Right now we are working with clients in the beauty, skincare and food + beverage industries.  We are also working with two non-profit organizations focused on female empowerment.  FEM has been engaged to help these brands develop strategy, content for their website and social, media planning and buying and other services to help build a stronger presence online and offline.

WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?

My style / perspective and taste can be found on my website.  For years I've been working with brands to develop their brand identity and brand story - the development of FEM and my own identity has been mine.

WE ARE ALL SLASHIES WITH MULTIPLE SKILLS, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD DO MORE OFTEN?

I wish that I could work with more organizations that are in the early developmental stages of identity.  The hard part is that most of the time they don't have the financial means to retain my services.  So I either take a "haircut" on fees - or we don't get the chance to work together.

WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?

Just balancing it all - it's not frustrating, it's just a challenge.

IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HOUR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?

Blogging.

LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?

My first job - I would of told myself that what I was doing (in spreadsheet hell) was going to eventually pay off.

IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?

Time management.  How do you do it all, being the boss, the doer, the accounts payable - it all?

WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

We are looking to expand our client list with brands in fashion and cause based organizations geared towards female empowerment.  Analytics is important to us, and what we know from that is - women hold over 70% of the purchasing power in the United States.  The type of projects and partners that we are looking for are brands that are eager and willing to change - organizations that are open to take risks in order to compete in the marketplace.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?

My ideal client is someone who has a product that I want to tell a story about.  The ideal job would be brand identity, strategy and analytical reporting (i.e. looking a behavior flow and seeing where opportunity awaits).  Ideal collaboration would be with other entrepreneurs and artists who are willing to make sacrifices to create great work.

WHAT IS YOUR RATE?

$125 / Hour

HOW SHOULD SOMEONE APPROACH YOU ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER?

I like face to face meetings typically - then a great GIF.

HOW DO YOU STAY CREATIVE?

"Fail early so that we succeed sooner." (Jim Brown, IDEO
