WHAT DO YOU DO?
“I run a website! With the help of a very badass team of course.”
After graduating from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, I did what any confused new adult might do and accepted a job offer that evidently was not the right fit for me. While going through that process, I kept myself sane by focusing on myself a bit more and exploring what I'm passionate about. My passions led me to the conversation surrounding gender equality, and my anger and frustration with what was being said led me to creating a website. La Femme Collective is the culmination of my passion and frustration; it's my effort to change the way women who work are viewed and treated!
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
I'm working on continuing to grow La Femme Collective - we're always looking for new #entrefemmeurs to feature on the site. I'm also looking to make the big move from New York to LA.
WE ARE ALL SLASHIES WITH MULTIPLE SKILLS, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD DO MORE OFTEN?
I wish I could code! My basic knowledge of Python has only gotten me so far. I love, love, love numbers - something about being able to create programs that take large amounts of data and analyze it just makes my brain sing.
LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?
I wish I could have told myself to be more adventurous when first moving to New York. I moved here for school - the city was my playground with endless opportunities. I didn't take advantage of that enough and I sometimes have to remind myself to stop having such a jaded view of the greatest city on earth.
WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
I'm currently looking for new women to join the La Femme Collective Community (or as we say on social media, #LFCommunity). I'd love to work on longer-term projects with some of our features, instead of one-off highlight posts. There's a lot of positivity and creativity in what I'm doing, and I'd love to continue to surround myself with likeminded individuals and work hard.
